New York Dolls return with <em>Dancing Backward in High Heels</em> March 15

Punk rock pioneers the New York Dolls are set to release their fifth full-length record March 15 on 429 Records. Featuring original members David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, the album was recorded in Newcastle, England and produced by Louis XIV's Jason Hill. Please see below for a track listing. <em>Dancing Backward in High Heels</em> is the follow-up to 2009's <em>'Cause I Sez So</em>, which <em>The New Yorker</em> praises for "[showing] the band at its full power" while Billboard notes that "the unlikely resurrection of the New York Dolls is solidified by [<em>'Cause I Sez So<em>]."Originally formed in 1971, the New York Dolls are best known for influencing a generation of artists in New York and London who went on to form the first punk rock and heavy metal bands. Largely influenced themselves by the rock &amp; roll of the Rolling Stones and the Stooges as well as the glam rock made by David Bowie and T. Rex, the legendary original Dolls lineup only recorded two albums, <em>New York Dolls</em> and <em>Too Much Too Soon</em>, before breaking up in 1976. After reuniting in 2004 (at the behest of Morrissey, the head of the band's U.K. fan club in the `70s), the band went on to record a pair of records-2006's <em>One Day It Will Please Us to Remember Even This</em> and 2009's <em>'Cause I Sez So</em>.

FREE TO FOLLOW - How to make your blog dofollow

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I sort of veered off course a bit.

I have never had a blog before and was busy learning how to format, add items, get search engines to recognize this blog etc. Anyway I came across the term "dofollow". If you don't know what it means google the term. Alternatively, you can check out the following video:

Up Up and Away

The following is a simple example of how fear creeps into our lives in little ways:
Today my family and I are going to the New Jersey Ballon Festival. We had discussed the plan to do so with a group of friends about a week ago. All of them were excited about it and said they wanted to go. However, when it came time to purchase the tickets, everyone backed out. They all reacted to the weather forecast which said that there was a chance that it would rain throughout the weekend. They all gave in to little fears..."What if it rains? Then I will have spent the money for nothing. blah blah blah".

When my wife heard that they were not going to go, she called me to ask if I still thought that we should. At that point I realized that two things were happening:

1. The fear about the weather was a fear about something, that at that moment, did not exist (we will not know if it is going to rain until it actually happens)


2. We were about to let the fears of others impact our own decision (just because they were not going to go should we just blindly follow along?)

I decided not to give in to these little fears. And as I look out my window it looks nice and sunny outside.
