FREE TO FOLLOW - How to make your blog dofollow

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I sort of veered off course a bit.

I have never had a blog before and was busy learning how to format, add items, get search engines to recognize this blog etc. Anyway I came across the term "dofollow". If you don't know what it means google the term. Alternatively, you can check out the following video:

Anyway, I have made this a dofollow blog. I figure if you are going to leave a comment it is the least I can do.

Until Next Time...Be Fearless

Oh I almost forgot... The balloon festival was great. The weather turned out nice and everyone had a good time. Just goes to show you that sometimes you have to live in the moment.

Up Up and Away

The following is a simple example of how fear creeps into our lives in little ways:
Today my family and I are going to the New Jersey Ballon Festival. We had discussed the plan to do so with a group of friends about a week ago. All of them were excited about it and said they wanted to go. However, when it came time to purchase the tickets, everyone backed out. They all reacted to the weather forecast which said that there was a chance that it would rain throughout the weekend. They all gave in to little fears..."What if it rains? Then I will have spent the money for nothing. blah blah blah".

When my wife heard that they were not going to go, she called me to ask if I still thought that we should. At that point I realized that two things were happening:

  1. The fear about the weather was a fear about something, that at that moment, did not exist (we will not know if it is going to rain until it actually happens)

  2. We were about to let the fears of others impact our own decision (just because they were not going to go should we just blindly follow along?)

I decided not to give in to these little fears. And as I look out my window it looks nice and sunny outside.

Have you ever given in to a fear of something that did not really exist? Have you ever done something just because everyone else did? If so leave a comment and share your experience.

Until Next Time...be fearless

Begin At The Beginning

In my first post, I described to you my reasons for starting this blog. Since writing that post I was thinking that in order to have a successful journey back to fearlessness I had to figure out where to start. Some wise man or wise guy (I can't remember which) once said "Begin at the beginning". So what is the beginning anyway???

For me the beginning is to develop an understanding of what fear really is? I figure in order to overcome it I must first understand exactly what it is. Is it all in our minds or does it really exist? Does it serve a purpose or is it just a barrier to our success and happiness?

Therefore my next posts (however many it takes) will be devoted to figuring out just what fear really is...

What does it mean to me?? What does it mean to you?? Hopefully, with your input I will figure it out.

Well until next time... be fearless

SIX FIGURE INCOME...FOR DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

I always wished I could take an entire summer off (with pay of course). This May my wish came true. I lost my job and received a severance package...my full salary plus benefits for 3 months. I could have a six figure income for the entire summer for doing absolutely nothing.

However, as with most things that sound too good to be true, there was a catch. If I was to take another job before the 3 months was up, the package would end at the start date of the new employment. Who cares? you might say...just take a 3 month vacation and then get another job when the package ends.

Not too long ago (when I was fearless) I would have done exactly that. But this time I acted out of fear. The fear that maybe I would not be able to find another job so easily. Therefore, I immediately started searching for, and found another job. Now I am working 8 hours a day for less money than I could be receiving for doing nothing at all.

Just thinking about it is driving me crazy. When did I lose my confidence? When did I start making decisions based on fear? And most importantly what am I going to do about it?

That is when I decided to start this blog. To understand what has changed, how I went from being fearless to fearful, and chronicle my journey back to living life fearlessly and in the moment.

I will be trying to post at least once daily, and my hope is that you will follow along with me and become inspired to overcome your own fears. Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts so please leave comments.

So until next time...live life in the moment
